Throughout Mark’s first film premiere, his fifth grade class was just glad they weren't having to write a paper. One reviewer lamented “the Ad Council are idiots for not releasing this master work.” Others at the Jwayad family dinner table agreed with his mother.
Mark Jwayad is a writer/director living in Los Angeles. He has worked with national and international brands such as Best Buy, Hublot, Medtronic, Extra Space Storage, Regal Cinemas, Baseballism, and the American Heart Association. While his passion is in variations of scripted and improvised comedy he also enjoys working on dramatic docs and stories woven by vignette. Mark works on projects where he can service the story, add creative to the content, and deliver the project in technically compelling way.
He received a master’s in Film Directing from Chapman University and a bachelor’s in Performing Arts and Social Justice (one major) from the University of San Francisco. He spent many years directing actors in Los Angeles as a commercial casting session director. During that time he honed a skill for capturing resonate, nuanced, and comedic performances from non-actors to actors of all experience levels.
His mother hasn’t given up on him yet.
